GuidePrediction markets on Hyperliquid
HIP-4 outcome markets: what they are, who lists them, and how to trade them.
What HIP-4 is
HIP-4 adds outcome markets to HyperCore, the on-chain order book that runs Hyperliquid's perpetuals and spot. It went live on mainnet on 2 May 2026; the first market was a daily Bitcoin binary deployed by the validators.
Each outcome trades as two sides, and each side settles to 1 or 0 USDC. Some templates settle a fraction instead, such as half to each side when a match is drawn.
Who lists the markets
Outcome deployers list markets under a registered venue name, on templates that Hyperliquid's validators have approved by vote. Most mainnet markets come from third-party venues such as outcome.xyz and trade.xyz; a few are deployed by the validators themselves.
The venue that lists a market is the one that submits its result. betondit shows the venue on every market, so you can see whose terms you are trading.
What kinds of markets there are
- Sports: match winners, three-way results (home, draw, away), outrights such as a league winner, over/under lines, spreads and totals.
- Crypto and markets: above or below a price at a stated moment, one-touch barriers, and ranges, on BTC, ETH, HYPE, stocks and commodities.
- Macro: central-bank rate decisions and other official figures.
- And more as templates are approved: company IPOs, AI model head-to-heads, awards.
How settlement works
Every market names its source in its terms: an official final result for sports, a Hyperliquid mark price at a stated moment for crypto, a published figure for macro. Once the result is in, the venue submits it and Hyperliquid pays the winning side in USDC, on-chain.
What it costs
Hyperliquid charges its outcome fees when a position is closed or settled, not when it is opened, per its fee schedule. A front-end can add a builder fee on the fills it applies to; betondit's is 100 basis points, shown on each fill in your history.
The minimum order is $1 of size times price.
How to trade them with betondit
- Hold USDC in a Hyperliquid account. A first deposit needs more than 1 USDC, which covers Hyperliquid's account-creation fee.
- Open the app at app.betondit.com and connect a wallet, or sign in with email.
- Approve a trading key once. It signs your orders without a pop-up each time; it cannot withdraw funds, and you can revoke it in the app.
- Pick a market and a side, enter a stake, and check the exact fill the order pad shows before you send it.
- Hold to settlement, or sell back to the book whenever it has a bid.
Where it is available
betondit is not available in the United States. Hyperliquid's own terms list further restricted regions; check them for yours.
